Purpose and Structure of the MFF
The Martinson Faculty Fellows are a cohort of faculty who will guide students in the John H. Martinson Honors Program (JMHP) through the Leaders in Progress and Service Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP). The MFF program is designed as both a student success initiative and a faculty professional development pathway.
Program Structure
The program is structured around a two-semester rotating experience.
• Semester A: Teach GT 2030: Progress and Service Forum (JMHP sections)
• Semester B: Mentor immersive learning experiences (ILEs)
Cohort Model
Approximately ten (10) Martinson Faculty Fellows will be in the 2026 - 2027 cohort, with a possibility of expansion in subsequent years. It's expected that selected Fellows will be highly engaged with teaching and learning, interested in cross-disciplinary engagement, and excited to learn about honors pedagogy.
Compensation and Support
Funding will be offered with a blend of either course buyout or supplemental pay, paired with professional development funds. Administrative and curricular support will be provided from both the JMHP and QEP teams.
Current Funding Model (Subject to Change)
• Foundational Course: $7,500/semester
• ILE Mentoring: $,5000/semester (+/- based on student count)
