Our Mission and Vision

Mission:

The John H. Martinson Honors Program is the home for intellectually curious students determined to navigate complexity and lead with purpose. Through reflection and close engagement with faculty, peers, and people with diverse perspectives, students grow into thoughtful contributors prepared to create meaningful impact in a changing world.

The Georgia Tech John H. Martinson Honors Program  advances its mission helping students develop in four competency areas.

  • Intellectual Curiosity and Innovation: Students learn to navigate ambiguity, synthesize multiple perspectives, and approach complex challenges with creativity and rigor.

  • Leadership and Agency: Students develop the confidence and initiative to shape their learning, pursue opportunities, and lead with integrity and purpose.

  • Engagement and Community Impact: Students actively engage with faculty, peers, and communities towards lasting and meaningful impact.

  • Connection and Reflection: Students build meaningful relationships and connect their experiences to their purpose, identity, and future direction.
